In-N-Out Burger: A Southern California Treasure
If you are from Southern California or lived here any amount of time, you know all about In-N-Out Burger. The fresh patties, the cheese melted so that it sticks to the wrapper and you unashamedly make sure you get every bit of it off, the fresh toasted buns and fries that are cut from the potatoes in the building.
To those that aren’t familiar with the Southern California chain, it’s well worth the wait, whether you eat in the building or wait in the drive-thru line.
For years the family that owned the chain refused to expand out of the Southern California area but in the last five or six years they’ve slowly creeped their way into Las Vegas and Southern Arizona. The burgers are fresh and I learned, when looking at the website, the company owns and operates a world class patty making facility. They have also always made their patties from the best quality beef chucks and they inspect, bone and grind all their own meet for patties, which is how they always have the best meet available.
I’ve been going to In-N-Out since I was a kid and my favorite meal is a Double Double, fries and a cherry lemonade. Every once in a while I’ll order off the “secret” menu, usually late at night when coming home from a night out on the town, the animal fries are the perfect night cap. My husband and kids always want a shake, which they say are the bomb. I haven’t had one in years, damn lactose intolerance.
I really think I need to go to In-N-Out now, I want some animal fries. Rawr!

OMG that looks disgusting. But my dad loves it, and requests a trip to In-N-Out every time he visits from CT. Go figure.

This is exactly the kind of messy food I love. This would be a weekly habit if I lived nearby.
