Masala, Spices of India – San Diego, CA

It was hard to find good ethnic food in rural Germany–it was something I lamented almost daily during my tenure overseas.  I could find all manner of fantastic German food but a bowl of Pho seemed too much to ask for.  Every time I traveled to anywhere remotely cosmopolitan, I made sure to find a good Thai, Vietnamese, Indiana or even Chinese joint in which to eat.  I was compelled.
