Julian, California is just one hour from San Diego and is a great place to get away from it all in the mountains yet still be close enough to visit the city’s casinos. There is an abundance of Julian restaurants as well as many shops and unique wineries.

Julian,California offers its visitors a variety of cuisines to choose from. A visit to Julian should include a visit to one of the many local shops that serve fresh baked apple goodies.

A great Julian restaurant is the Cowgirl Café. Decorated in Wild West décor, this eight-table eatin’ place will have you comfortable in no time. Featuring home-cooked cowboy and cowgirl fare, you will not leave hungry. One word of advice though, save room for desert -- we hear the Apple Dumpling will have you thinking you are in cowgirl heaven.

If you are looking for a Julian restaurant that serves fine Mexican fare, you will love Margarita’s. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner with specialties from both north and south of the border. Business casual is the suggested attire at this Julian restaurant.

If Italian cuisine is your preference, there is a Julian restaurant for you as well.Romano's Dodge House serves great Italian food at 2718 B Street. You can arrange for Julian’s horse-drawn carriage drop you off. Very small and intimate, it's the perfect place for a romantic evening. Sit on the porch and enjoy the best rolls and pasta.
