A little over-hyped

Excellent food, and a great place to go for that neck of the woods (downtown oakland). The place is big, and a little over-stuffed with tables, so it's a little noisy. Good food. Bad waitresses.

When I eat at Le Cheval, I usually order barbecue pork & fried rice. It's delicious & the price is great. The restaurant is attractive, with a bar to have some drinks at if your group hasn't arrived yet. What the restaurant is lacking in is service. There is more than meets the eyes behind the kitchen.....Facts:1. This restaurant dont' pay TIPS to their waiters! The owners keeps all and they never shares it.
