Housed in a historic building in downtown Yountville, French Laundry has been opened for several decades, but it wasn't until 1994 when Thomas Keller bought the place and put both the restaurant and Yountville on the culinary map. At $250 a pop, the experience isn't for everyone, but for those willing to shell out hundreds of dollars on a 9-course, pre-fixe menu for the dining opportunity of a lifetime, be sure to plan well-ahead, as reservations are booked solidly two-months in advance.
