Kintaro Rocks
This is not your typical sushi restaurant its got all the island flavor and so much more. we went there and sure the staff is a little slow and maybe they get sick of tourist, but the food is soooo good it more than makes up for it. Kintaro was packed on a Wednesday night. We waited over an hour for a table. The food was ok, but not really worth the wait. Reservations recommended. Not really sure what all the hype is about this restaurant. The sushi was fresh enough. The Yakitori (teriyaki chicken with onions and bell pepper... a user of Restaurantica. Best food I have ever had
I visited Kauai in Aug 2004. We ate at Kintaro's one night and it was the best food I have ever had anywhere. I was in a group of 5 people who all ordered something different and all the food was fabulous. We ate Benihana-style which I would recommend if it is something you have never experienced...
