As nice as Granny's kitchen...

Walking through the door, which had lingering cafe au lait drinkers hither and yon, in to the famed Morning Call diner was like stepping into Mayberry. Heed the Call

Morning Call is Metairie's own unique spin on Cafe du Monde, set in a run-down strip mall next to a surly magazine stand on prime "Met'ry" real estate a nutria scamper away from "Fat City." Best place for beignets and coffee

I like this place even better than Cafe du Monde because you don't have to fight the crowd and it's a much more comfortable place to lounge around, drink coffee, and eat beignets.
