An oasis in a sea of chain eateries...

When I walk into Gilardi's, I feel stress melt off my shoulders. The combination of lighting, quiet conversations of other diners, and the heavenly smells wafting from plates carried by waiters help me to forget the trials of my day.

Let me warn you now: save room for dessert. If you have are too full for your own order, you'd better hope to snatch a bite of dessert off your companion's plate before they taste it. After they realize how good it is, they might demand that bite back!

Sometimes it's busy enough that I have to wait at the bar and enjoy a well-prepared cocktail - perish the thought!
