Great upscale food

My wife and I love to go out and eat at non-corporate restaurants and besides Le Cafe Miche, Artichoke Cafe and, Ambrozia I didn't think that there were any others around. Marvelous little hideaway

Having been to Casa Vieja prior to its new ownership and the arrival of its new Executive Chef, Jeff Trent (a graduate of our own TVI!) I did find that the food had become rather stale, not only in the offerings but in their preparation and presentation. Really great food

We dined at Casa Vieja on Friday December 8th and even though there were two large parties we got our food in a very reasonable amount of time. Casa Vieja Worth the Drive from Abq.

Chef Jim Whites Casa Vieja was once built & owned by Don Juan Gonzales in the 1700s. The Mixed Grill Kabobs are 15 dollars. The kabob was generous in size, and filled with chicken, beef, pork, shrimp and vegetables. It was smothered with green chile aoii and served on top of rice.
