  • Named one of the top 50 restaurants in America in 2006 by Gourmet magazine, the Lantern is like no other in Chapel Hill. Great (small) Find (don't tell anyone)

Lantern (esp the bar) offers a surprisingly hip and sophisticated atmosphere and menu, while not coming off as high-brow. It's too bad the bar isn't a little bigger, but then again that's part of the allure and it keeps the noise down. A great bar if you're in a sultry mood or with a great date. ... mattski2002, a user of citysearch.com. Read full review on CitySearch
