Indian Cliffs is a sprawling, gorgeous cattle ranch that features its own steakhouse and fort replica. The scenery can't be beat what with miles of terra-cotta colored trails, dramatic cliffs and valleys, and critters of all kinds. Described by Insider's Guide Texas as "part sprawling ranch, part adobe, part move set, and all romance," the backdrop here will appeal to movie buffs as it has served as the primary shooting location for a score of famous Westerns over the years. While it's only a 20 minute drive out of the city, it's the type of journey that will instantly transport you to another place and time.
